The bottom line is, that brake upgrade is the most cost effective way of doing it and it has worked flawlessly for me since fab whored it onto my mule. I threw another set of pads at it a few months ago - I didn't even have to turn the rotors as they were straight and true. I simply ran out of material by using the brakes so effectively. When I push the brake pedal on my car, my car stops - and it stops very well. It also doesn't cause my wallet to burn my ass from spending so much ridiculous money on big brake kits everytime I decellerate. Anything else is simply "big money brake kit" - they just leave out the "money" part and stick it to you in the end. :)
